Privacy & data notes

How IceShack Studio handles your information

IceShack Studio is a concept site for planning ice cabins and camp layouts. We collect only the minimum information needed to keep the site running, improve the content and reply when you choose to contact us.

This privacy policy explains what we collect, how we use it and which choices you have. If anything feels unclear, you can always reach us using the contact details at the bottom of this page.

1. Who we are

IceShack Studio is a small design project focused on sketches, checklists and layout ideas for ice fishing cabins. The site does not run user accounts, does not sell physical gear and does not operate guided trips. When this policy mentions “we”, “us” or “our”, it refers to the IceShack Studio project that publishes this website.

You can contact the project team by e-mail at iceshackstudio@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

We try to keep data collection as light and understandable as possible. Depending on how you interact with the site, we may process the following types of information:

2.1. Technical visit data

When you browse the site, basic technical information is automatically recorded in server logs or analytics tools. This may include your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, approximate region, timestamps and referrer URLs.

2.2. Contact information

If you choose to write to us by e-mail, we receive the address you use, the content of your message and any attachments you decide to send. We use this information only to reply and keep track of the conversation.

2.3. Feedback & usage notes

From time to time we may keep anonymous notes on how people use the layout ideas, which pages are popular and which guides are confusing. These notes do not identify you individually and are used to improve the structure and clarity of the site.

3. How we use your information

We use the information described above for a small set of clear purposes:

  • to operate, protect and troubleshoot the website;
  • to understand which layouts, tracks and guides visitors find useful;
  • to respond when you send us a question or comment;
  • to prevent abuse, spam or technical attacks against the site.

We do not sell or rent your personal information and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

IceShack Studio may use small text files known as cookies and similar technologies to remember basic preferences and to measure how visitors move between pages. Typical examples are remembering which navigation section you last opened or counting how many times a certain guide was viewed.

You can usually manage or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features of the site may work less smoothly if cookies are disabled, but the core content will remain available.

5. How long we keep information

Server logs and basic analytics data are kept only as long as we reasonably need them to maintain and understand the website. In most cases this means a retention period measured in months, not years.

E-mails and direct messages are stored for as long as the conversation remains relevant. If you ask us to delete a past message thread, we will do so unless we are required to keep it for legal or security reasons.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have specific legal rights regarding your personal data. Regardless of the jurisdiction, we try to offer the following simple options to everyone:

  • Access: you can ask what kind of personal data we hold about you, if any.
  • Correction: you can request corrections if something is incomplete or inaccurate.
  • Deletion: you can ask us to delete e-mails or other directly identifying data we control, unless we must keep it for legal reasons.
  • Opt-out: you can block or clear cookies in your browser and you can choose not to send us any optional information.

To exercise any of these options, simply write to iceshackstudio@gmail.com and describe your request in a few lines.

7. Third-party services and data transfers

To run this website we may rely on hosting providers, analytics tools or e-mail services operated by other companies. These providers process data on our behalf and are expected to handle it securely and in line with their own privacy policies.

Because the internet is global, information may be stored or accessed from servers located in different countries than the one you are browsing from. We only use services that, to the best of our knowledge, handle data responsibly.

8. Children’s privacy

IceShack Studio is aimed at adults who plan and use ice fishing cabins. It is not designed for children or for unsupervised use by minors. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

9. Updates to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect new features, legal requirements or feedback from visitors. When we make changes, we will adjust the “Last updated” date at the top of the page and, where appropriate, provide a short notice on the site.
