Use & responsibility
Terms for using IceShack Studio
These Terms & Conditions explain how you may use the IceShack Studio website, the limits of our responsibility and the rules that keep the project safe for everyone.
1. Nature of the site
IceShack Studio is an informational and inspirational project. It offers ideas for planning ice cabins, mini-camps and safety-minded routines on the ice. The site does not sell products, does not operate guided trips and does not claim to replace official safety training, local regulations or professional advice.
Any decisions you make on the ice, including where and when to travel, how to set up cabins and how to handle weather or ice conditions, remain entirely your own responsibility.
2. Not a safety manual or professional advice
The content on this site is written to inspire organised and considerate ice fishing setups, but it cannot guarantee your safety on frozen water. Ice conditions vary widely and can change quickly.
- Always follow local laws, regulations and guidance from qualified authorities.
- Always perform your own checks and measurements on the ice before moving people, shacks or vehicles.
- When in doubt, retreat to shore. No layout or camp plan is worth risking your life or the lives of others.
You understand that you use any information from IceShack Studio at your own risk.
3. Acceptable use of the site
You agree to use IceShack Studio only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not damage, disable or overburden the site or other visitors. In particular, you agree not to:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or related systems;
- probe or scan the site for vulnerabilities or disrupt its normal operation;
- use automated tools to scrape, copy or mirror the site in a way that places excessive load on our infrastructure;
- misuse the contact details published here for spam or unwanted marketing.
4. Content and intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the text, layout sketches, diagrams, checklists, images, icons and overall design of IceShack Studio are owned by the project team or used with permission.
You may read, share links to and print small portions of the site for personal, non-commercial use or for planning your own ice cabins. Any wider reuse, such as republishing large parts of the content, selling derivative materials or using our branding in your own products, requires prior written permission.
5. Downloads, cards and templates
From time to time the site may offer printable cards, layouts or templates. These materials are provided “as is” without any guarantees. You are responsible for checking that the information remains accurate and suitable for your own conditions.
You may adapt these materials for your personal use on the ice. If you wish to include them in commercial products or services, please contact us first.
6. Links to other websites
IceShack Studio may contain links to external websites, tools or resources. These links are provided for convenience or inspiration. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of third-party sites.
Following any external link is entirely at your own risk. We recommend that you review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
7. Limitation of liability
IceShack Studio is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we try to keep the site helpful and up-to-date, we do not guarantee that the content is error-free, complete or suitable for every situation.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from your use of the site, your reliance on its content or your activities on the ice. This includes, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental and consequential damages.
8. Changes to the site and these terms
We may update, reorganise or remove parts of IceShack Studio at any time. We may also change these Terms & Conditions to reflect new features, feedback or legal requirements.
When we make significant changes, we will adjust the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and may post a short notice elsewhere on the site. Your continued use of IceShack Studio after such changes means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing principles and disputes
These terms are meant to work alongside the consumer protection and online services laws that apply where you live. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining sections will stay in effect.
In the unlikely event of a dispute that we cannot resolve informally, we will look for a fair and reasonable solution that respects applicable law and the safety-first spirit of the project.
